Our commitment to impeccable craftsmanship, rigorous quality control, and personalized service ensures that every gemstone we offer is of the finest quality.
Evaluation
The process begins by analysing the emerald rough and evaluating its quality, including colour, clarity, and inclusions. This analysis helps determine the best cutting plan to maximize the emeralds size, and achieve the best colour and clarity possible.
Assorting
The rough is then graded by colour, size, clarity and lustre. This process helps us identify similar rough stones with similar texture that makes the manufacturing process more efficient and also helps us create potential pairs and layouts.
Marking
The rough is then precisely and carefully marked to achieve and cleaner preform. Keeping with the idea to achieve a cleaner, yet maximum yield polished stone and minimizing waste.
Cutting
The rough is the cut according to the marking set by the planner. This step often involves using saws to slice the rough stone.
Preform
After the initial cut, the rough is converted to a preform. This decision usually entails the planner finding the part of the rough which yields the biggest, cleanest and best colour-based side giving us a potential table of our gemstone.
Shaping
This process involves the planner deciding on which shape the preform should be taken. As always it is combination of which shape gives us maximum yield and clarity.
Faceting
This involves carefully cutting the stone with precision to create a series of flat surfaces or “facets” that enhance the stone’s brilliance and sparkle. Each facet must be carefully aligned to maximize the gemstone’s optical properties.
Polishing
Once the cutting and shaping are complete, the gemstone is polished to achieve a smooth, glossy surface. This step often involves using progressively finer abrasives and polishing compounds to remove any scratches or imperfections and to bring out the stone’s luster.
Final Inspection
The finished gemstone undergoes a final inspection to ensure it meets quality standards. Any final adjustments or touch-ups are made to perfect the stone.
